Today was about 76 degrees with a slight breeze; the perfect temperature for a visit to a local plantation. We went to Middleton Plantation per the recommendation of Billy's aunt and uncle and Travis and Melissa. It was truly beautiful. While the azaleas weren't yet in full bloom, the gardens were still beautiful. The plantation was very serene and peaceful which was a wonderful treat.
The only glitch in our day - a bird pooped on me! Yep! You read that right; I got pooped on by one of the beautiful chirping birds in the garden. What can I say? Things are always interesting with the two of us.
We took our last walk on the beach this evening which was nice; however, the temperature had dropped drastically from the warm afternoon temps. So our last beach side stroll was a little chilly to say the least. We put on the last of our warm, clean clothes and braved the elements. You'll see we look a little chillier in the beach pic.
So now we pack and prepare to leave our babymoon. It is a very bitter-sweet evening for us both. The time together has just been such a blessing. We are excited for what lies ahead yet scared of the unknown. We are anxious to experience future vacations as a family yet somewhat sad to leave our last trip just the two of us. Despite all the different thoughts and feeling we have, we are grateful God has blessed us with the opportunity to have a week as wonderful as this! Again, our thanks to two wonderful parents who have loved and cared for our little guys while we are away. It is so nice to know Marbles and Derby are in such good hands!
