We can't believe it . . . Camden is already 6 weeks old. He is growing like a weed. He is around 12 pounds now and getting longer by the day. He is quickly making his way out of the 0-3 month clothes which are supposedly designed for approximately 8-12 pounds. Looks like Camden and I will be making a trip to the Little Lambs Annual Consignment sale coming up in August. As fast as he is growing, we plan to seek out any good deals we can find on baby clothes.
That said, Camden has had a good week. He visited with a friend - Claire - who is only 2 weeks older than him. While they didn't have much to say to each other just yet (as you can imagine), I suspect they'll have some fun together in the months and years to come. It looks like they may be going to daycare together, thus she might just be a little friend for the future!
This week should be an exciting week. Grandma Lyons is coming to visit on Wednesday, then some of Billy's family is coming up from Florida and South Carolina respectively on Saturday. We will have lots of company this week and undoubtedly lots of fun.
We are still trying to learn Camden. We are carefully observing his ever-changing routines and patterns. We learn a little more every day which is helpful. A few things are for sure. Camden wants to be engaged. He constantly wants to look around and see things; thus, he particularly likes his mobile, activity gym, etc. He hasn't even really liked walks in the stroller until yesterday when Billy finally took him out of the infant seat and just sat him face forward in the stroller where he could see the world. Guess who for the first time seemed to enjoy a walk - Camden! He takes only a couple of very short naps during the day, thus it is difficult to get anything accomplished, but so be it. He is learning, observing and studying his new world, and we are loving watching the process.
He has given us a number of smiles this week which has been such a blessing. There is one blurry picture of a semi-smile in the slide show above; unfortunately, every time we grabbed the camera he assumed his furrowed brow look and didn't smile anymore. Hopefully we will get some good smile pics this week.

Finally, I am one lucky woman. My husband has treated me to three wonderful grilled dinners this week. We love sitting on our back deck, enjoying the view and letting the dogs run (or rest as you can see) each evening. This week, we did just that but with wonderful and healthy grilled dinners. He is quite the cook!
