Pinnacles and Polls

We were fortunate to have a four day weekend this past weekend accompanied by perfect weather. What a blessing! We did lots of neat things over the course of the weekend including enjoying pizza at our favorite pizza joint (Papaleno's), walking all over Berea's campus and around the town, shopping for mommy some new clothes, going to church, hanging out with friends over smores and of course taking our little Tigger trick-or-treating for the first time. You'll have to see the last blog post for the Halloween pics, but what a fun evening it was. Camden WOWed the neighbors and gave candy to lots of cute villains and characters!
Tuesday, we went on a hiking excursion at the Berea Pinnacles. What a special day it was. The weather was absolutely perfect, the trees were gorgeous and Camden was amazing. When he was awake, he seemed to really enjoy the hike. He always has loved the outdoors (as do his daddy and I). What a treat to take him on his first hike!
After we finished our hike, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Main Street Cafe (highly recommend this restaurant by the way) and we went to the polls. Yes, Camden voted for the first time. He still hasn't come clean about who he voted for, but nonetheless, he did his civic duty and has the sticker to prove it!
By the end of the day, everyone was worn out. Daddy enjoyed a quiet autumn nap with Camden in their favorite hammock. Oh the memories they have created in that hammock. While they napped, I cleaned house. While that may not sound like fun . . . IT WAS! I finally had 2 hours to just clean. AAAHHH . . . the beauty of clean and clutter free counters. What a treat to come home to a cleaner (not necessarily clean) home today.
That said - today was Camden's first of many full days in day care. Mommy and Daddy survived although it wasn't easy; we were both very sad. Camden seemed to do fine and was in an excellent mood this evening. While our time with him this evening was short, it was special. You'll be happy to know he actually ate some cereal today. At least 4-5 spoonfuls of the cereal went down the hatch. We are making progress!

Camden is getting sooo big! Hopefully I will get to see him sometime this month or next. Malachi keeps talking about coming to see "Camden's Kari" so I guess it's about time!

LOVE THE PICS - good to see one of Mommy and Camden (tnx Billy)...

Your hiking sounds great - wish we were camping at Boonesborough! Spent the day with Maria and Isabella and they send their love to cousin Camden.

See you in six days - whooooooooo! And again at Thanksgiving - our lucky month.
