Camden's College Fund

The Martins had a busy but good weekend. We tapped into our creative side on Saturday when we visited the Mad Potter with our dear friends Adrienne and Ryan. We spent three hours (with a baby I might add) painting a piggy bank. Camden better appreciate this fine work of art. That said, we don't have the finished product with us because it still has to be fired. Once we have it, we'll be sure to post a picture. In the mean time, we start looking for ways to fill his bank. College will be here before we know it (Is this a good time to start soliciting for Camden's College Fund?! :-) Thanks to Adrienne and Ryan for the invitation! We had a great time!

That said, we also had a number of firsts this weekend. Camden truly ate his cereal for the first time this weekend. By this we mean he digested more than he left on his bib. We are making progress! He also used his booster seat for the first time this weekend (thanks to Julie's suggestion) and seemed to really like it. While the booster seat pic isn't the best, I included it because you can see the beautiful sunset in the background. We consider ourselves very blessed to watch beautiful sunsets almost every evening behind our house. Camden also slept on his belly during the night for the first time. His ability to roll is giving him new found freedom in his sleeping quarters. He seems to really like this belly sleeping thing.

So there you have it. A quick update from KY. We are thoroughly enjoying our little guy and still transitioning to two full time parents. Life has its ups and downs, but overall it is great. We are very blessed!

Yeah the booster seat - our little man is growing up without us........he looks so cute in that seat.

Do you think our family table will be able to hold all the booster seats we need??? We'll be up to four in just a few minutes......Maria is incredibly strong with her head and she'll be in the booster before we know it.

BTW - can you make a 'support Mom's retirement' bank?

Love the booster seat. But, if he is going to start eating more, you had better out some kind of cover over those beautiful chairs that the booster seat is in. :) Pretty soon he might try to give you back some of that cereal (and eventually peas, green beans, carrots, etc.) and you don't want that on your chairs.

Gorgeous sunset in the background! What a way to end your day... a sweet boy and a beautiful sky.
