Peas, Sippy Cups and Sitting Up

Today was a big day for Camden. He enjoyed his very first baby food - Green Peas - Yummo! He did a great job. As a matter of fact, it was pretty uneventful. He didn't really seem to notice it was very different than cereal. Additionally, he tried his first sippy cup this past weekend. I was drinking out of a water bottle and had sat it down on the floor. I noticed Camden wiggled his way around and pulled himself over to my bottle and put the lid/top of the bottle in his mouth. He was just determined to get himself a drink. Thus, we introduced the sippy cup and while he hasn't quite mastered lifting it up so the liquid pours into his mouth, he is pretty good about getting it in his mouth.

As if this isn't exciting enough, he is also doing really well with sitting up on his own. We still have to provide some minor supervision, but he will sit and play for quite a while with no problem. Yeah Camden!

This weekend, we enjoyed a visit with our friends Jessica and Todd. We enjoyed a fun evening of hot cider, dessert and good friends. It was a wonderful treat for us and you can see Camden enjoyed the company as well. He screamed and squealed the entire time they were here. It was quite funny; we've never heard him be so vocal.

So moral of the story - Camden is doing great! He will be six months old this weekend which is exciting (and so hard to believe). He is growing up so fast, and we are enjoying every minute with him!
