35 1/2 Weeks

We are officially 35 1/2 weeks at this point with only four weeks left as of this Thursday. It is hard to believe we are this far along and soon to meet our little guy! We've been hard at work trying to get the house ready while trying to find time to simply relax and enjoy one another. The nursery is still a work in progress , we've cleaned out and organized the garage, we're in the process of installing hardwood floors in the dining room and new windows are on the way. The list goes on and on. Is this what they call nesting? If so, we are both to blame.

That said, we have been going out to dinners, going to movies and simply enjoying each and every opportunity we have to spend time together just the two of us. While we look so forward to our little one joining us, we know this is precious time and we are making the most of it! This weekend we also enjoyed a Friday night with friends over homemade pizza and a Saturday evening Derby Party with friends. It was a productive yet fun weekend!

Now, as we prepare for the homestretch, we are doing things like putting together hospital bags, washing baby clothes, making hospital call lists, etc. While we probably still have plenty of time left to do these things, we'd rather be safe than sorry.
In closing, we would love for your to comment and let us know you were here. Please tell us how or if the Blog is working for you as a way to keep you up-to-date. Until then, stay tuned for more photo albums to come - hopefully this weekend!

Hey Kari and Billy, I really enjoy reading your blog. It is a great way to keep people up to date that you don't get to talk to often. Keeping you in my prayers, Love Shirley

I love all your updates! The nursery looks great, you look great, and it sounds like you are ready to welcome a little guy any day now! Malachi likes looking at all your pictures, too. He keeps saying, "I need see BillyKari." I guess that means another trip to KY needs to be in our near future plans!
