triathalon a few weeks ago - the Tri-for-Sight Triathalon in Lexington, KY. Given what little time he had to actually train, he did a fabulous job. Camden, our dear friend Leah and I were all on the side-lines cheering for our him. We are very proud of Billy as it is quite an accomplishement!Camden is doing well! His eyes are changing ever so slightly from blue to green. His hair seems to be blonding a bit. He is somewhere around 28-29 pounds and 31-32 inches. He is communicating primarily through signs - cracker, milk, more, finished, etc. As a matter of fact, he typically starts using the finished sign when we walk into Walmart (but can you blame him!). His favorite word is "bubbles". Every time he sees his dad, Camden says, "Bubbles!" or signs "banana". One thing is for sure - the boy sure knows
what he wants.
what he wants.Last week, Camden wen to EKU's Family Weekend for the 1st time and actually bounced in one of the big jumpy things (not sure of the technical term). He even played a drop the ball in the bucket game and won a tiny stuffed football. With his football and his new (and first of many) EKU t-shirt, he made a cute little Colonel! I
don't have a picture of that downloaded to share, but I'll post it soon. It really was too cute - perhaps because he looks like a bit of a football player himself. Everywhere we go, strangers guess what
position they think he will play on a football team one day. Personally, I'm leaning more toward basketball, soccer or something of the seemingly safer nature but we'll see. Long story short - we continue to be richly blessed - very busy - but richly blessed. We look forward to some fun trips and visits this fall and some great moments with are growing and joyful little guy!

1) Camden in car - He was watching a Baby Einstein video and decided his rocker chair wasn't good enough. He went and got his Flinstone style car, brought it into the living room and enjoyed himself a "Drive-In" movie.
2) Camden in boots - Camden loves shoes no matter what style and size. He decided to try on his Papa's boots. With a little help from his Mama - he managed to get into them!

After reading this months entry - I went to the bottom and started up --- what a journey. This is such a great story of Camden's first months. It is great - such a treasure for him one of these days.
Love the boots pic - hadn't seen it since we took it on the deck....one of these days he'll actually fit in those boots and you'll be wondering where the time went. Motherhood is one of life's greatest joys - grand-motherhood may just be life's greatest joy - it certainly is simpler and includes sleep.
LOVE YOU
Yay, an update! I can't believe how big Camden is getting and how much he's already lost the "baby" look - he's turning into a little boy! I think it's about time he visits the great state of Ohio!
